Micro weight gives you a feather-light option. Micro is ideal as your base layer, underwear, or on its own when the temps heat up. Merino’s moisture-wicking properties keep you cool when you’re on the move. Core Spun yarn provides extra durability while still offering merino's super soft, insulative, and moisture wicking properties next to the skin. Moisture Wicking
Minus33 Merino Wool regulates the amount of moisture on your skin by absorbing any moisture or sweat on your body. Then, the absorbed moisture evaporates out of the fabric into the atmosphere.
Anti-Microbial
Merino Wool fibers naturally reject any bacteria in moisture or sweat as it is wicked away, so foot fungus and smelly odor will not be a problem while wearing our products.
Insulates When Wet
Wool will absorb up to 30% of its weight in moisture without feeling wet or clammy. If you do get wet, wool will insulate you better than cotton or polyester materials.
UV Protection
Don’t worry about sunburn on a sunny day summiting a peak. Lightweight layers have a UPF rating of 25. Midweight and Expedition have a UPF rating of 50+.
Renewable
Merino Wool has a low environmental footprint and naturally returns to the elements. Shear a merino sheep in the morning, and in the afternoon they’re happily nibbling their way towards renewing next season’s clip.

I order size medium woolverino tshirt and a medium ¼ zip - both sizes were correct but i still don't understand why the medium T-shirt has an XL neck opening!?! (it's supposed to be 15-15½ neck measurement) and I was sent the old style ¼ zip with out the thumb holes which are a feature of the new style - which is the one that's pictured - I don't get it like I said 0 for 2

I buy these for military work. They are cool when it's hot, warm when it's cold and moisture wicking. These are the cream of the crop when it comes to tan 499 shirts and I won't wear anything else and you shouldn't either. I work all over the world with all sorts of units and entities and there isn't a better product out there. IT IS WELL WORHT THE COST.

Great Shirt, Inconsistent Sleeve Lengths

I have every color of this shirt. Overall,they are my favorite t-shirts to wear for many uses. They work great as a light, active baselayer and they are not too hot as a standalone top in the summer high desert climate I live in. I would give 5 stars if not for the inconsistent sleeve length. Some of the colors have sleeves that are noticeably longer than the others (i would estimate 1-2 inches). Not a huge issue and it won't stop me from buying this shirt, but enough to be a slight annoyance. Clean that up (to the shorter length) and this shirt would be perfect in every way.

Loved it…If not for the pilling
I’m 5’9”, 170 lbs. Avgerage built.
Got the size M in navy.
This is my first merino wool shirt.
Pros:
1- All the hype about merino wool is true. Moisture wicking. Odor resistant. Wore the shirt 2 days in the South Carolina heat (~95F). No smell!!
2- I like the fit
3- I like the color
Cons:
1- A lot of pilling where the sleeve rubs with the body of the shirt… and I haven’t even washed it yet.
2- Fabric seems to attract lint.
I’m still undecided about getting more of these. Merino wool is a premium textile and the shirts are priced accordingly… but I’ll have to see if the pilling gets worse after washing and a few more uses.
