Our most common fit is called regular. It runs true to size and isn’t that super tight sport fit you might find with synthetic brands. It’s for the everyday person, every activity or occupation. We suggest purchasing the same size you would get in a basic cotton T-shirt or underwear.

What If I Am Between Sizes?

If you are between sizes, we recommend sizing up or down based on what fit type you would prefer, and based on how you plan to wear the piece. Our knitted merino is stretchy and you could realistically go with either size. If you would prefer an Athletic fit, size down. If you prefer a Regular or Relaxed fit, size up. They are also designed to work with other products in our line, too. Why Merino Wool?

Core Spun Technology

Core Spun yarn provides extra durability while still offering merino's properties next to the skin. The nylon inner core is wrapped with Merino Wool and a touch of spandex for stretch.

Moisture Wicking

Minus33 Merino Wool regulates the amount of moisture on your skin by absorbing any moisture or sweat on your body. Then, the absorbed moisture evaporates out of the fabric into the atmosphere.

Anti-Microbial

Merino Wool fibers naturally reject any bacteria in moisture or sweat as it is wicked away, so foot fungus and smelly odor will not be a problem while wearing our products.

Insulates When Wet

Wool will absorb up to 30% of its weight in moisture without feeling wet or clammy. If you do get wet, wool will insulate you better than cotton or polyester materials.

UV Protection

Don’t worry about sunburn on a sunny day summiting a peak. Lightweight layers have a UPF rating of 25. Midweight and Expedition have a UPF rating of 50+.

Renewable

Merino Wool has a low environmental footprint and naturally returns to the elements. Shear a merino sheep in the morning, and in the afternoon they’re happily nibbling their way towards renewing next season’s clip.

Total Easy Care (TEC) Merino apparel is designed for today's busy lifestyle. Total Easy Care Merino garments are all machine-washable, and are suitable for tumble drying.

Even after frequent laundering they retain an 'as new' appearance. They won't shrink, lose their shape, fade or color-bleed. They remain soft and comfortable for the life of the garment.

My wife and I love these Hoodies. Perfect for kayaking on lakes and rivers . The zipper on the front is great for cooling off when you are paddling hard or if breezy you can zip it up. Just like the other gear we have purchased from Minus33.

Fit and fabric are great

I am 6'3" and 190 lbs. athletic build. the fit in the shoulders and chest are perfect for me, and this is the area where some shirts can be too snug. the fabric is very breathable, the hood is an excellent cut that is almost like a scuba style hood, but not quite as restricting. the chest zipper is deep enough for meaningful ventilation, I have the light blue color and find it to be light enough not to be hot in full sun. the sewing is impeccable. I find this to be a thoroughly excellent product and would like to see it offered in a thicker fabric as well. In general, I would say this is one of the most useful tops I own for being active outdoors.

I try to shop NH local companies as often as I can. I also try to wear merino as often as I can. This is an absolute win. Stellar product.

Disappointing durability

I like the weight, the details like the chest pocket for stashing stuff, but after a 3 day hike in the Dolomites the hoodie is looking pretty rough in a few spots, like where the backpack waist buckle sits, and also in the back where backpack can rub. I know wool is a little more delicate, but figured this blend would at least hold up a little more after just one trip.

Light and comfortable

So far my husband has worn only once but liked a lot. Standout features besides the lightness of the material are the 2 zippers, especially the venting zipper. I'm jealous.
